THIRTEEN’s content reaches diverse audiences locally and nationally. For those who seek to strengthen our communities, learn and grow, solve problems, improve our world, and better educate our young people, the Community Engagement unit acts as an essential and trusted connector—listening and responding to our audiences, sparking dialogue, and fostering understanding, both in New York City and across the country.
LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR WORKSince 2017, WNET’s Community Engagement division has held frank, private convenings with 300-plus thinkers and doers from across New York City to better understand the issues facing New Yorkers. The participants have represented organizations and institutions that are leaders in healthcare, higher education, economic development, arts and culture, social services, legal services, religion, and environmentalism and conservation. Independent artists, activists, entrepreneurs, journalists, and community organizers have also participated and enriched these conversations.
